Day by day, more and more IM clients appear trying to go up to the top of IM clients, trying to oust those big Windows Live, ICQ or Yahoo.
One of them is emesene, which allows you to chat with your Windows Live contacts (aka MSN). Emesene offers functions similar to the ones offered by WLM, but it can be spiced up with add-ons.

Spice up emesene by adding it youtube upload video capability, Messenger Plus compatibility, pokes, chat logs, etc.

Very good program, it may not have the same appearance as the messenger most people use, but it has a great quality that the other lacks: it is very light, ideal for slightly old machines. :)

The program is very good, but it's a shame that it's not possible to have a video conference on Ubuntu; however, for everything else, this messaging program is very good.
